Drilldown Matrix Report – SSRS 2012

In this post, let us see simple example for drill-down report. 

The blow query is going to used to get the data set from the AdventureWorksDW2012 database.

Add the matrix into the data region, and then make it Category, Subcategory and Product as Row Group and Sales amount under data.

Preview will be look like below: Here we can see all the columns are expanded.

To introduce the drill down property,Click on the Subcategory GROUP as below:

Under Visibility property, make it Hide and check the Display can be toggled by this report item and then select “Category”

and then follow the same steps to the Product GROUP, toggled by “Subcategory”

Now the preview will be look like below,This can be drill down, as Subcategory and then Product.
